Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
CatDays (the “App”) is developed by Lychee Intelligence Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”). We respect your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles your data.
Information we collect
The App does not require an account and does not actively collect information that personally identifies you. The countdowns you create (title, date, chosen cat, and so on) are stored on your device and can sync through Apple iCloud within your personal iCloud account. This content is never sent to our servers — in fact, the App has no server of its own.
To improve the product, the App collects usage statistics and crash diagnostics that contain none of your personal content — see “In-app analytics and diagnostics” below.
Third-party services
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit): used to sync your countdown data across your devices, governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
- Apple App Store / In-App Purchases: payments to unlock additional cats are handled by Apple; we never receive your payment information.
- RevenueCat: used to manage your purchase status. It may process anonymous purchase-related identifiers that do not personally identify you.
- Google Firebase: used to understand how the App is used, to diagnose crashes, to adjust a small number of behaviours without shipping an update, and to send product announcements. See the next section.
In-app analytics and diagnostics
We use Google Firebase to collect usage data that contains no personal information, so that we can see how the App is actually used, where it goes wrong, and improve it from there.
The contents of your countdowns are not part of that. The titles, dates, and notes you type stay on your phone and in your own iCloud, and are never sent to us. What we receive are fixed events such as “a countdown was created” or “the widget tutorial was opened”, along with error diagnostics when the App crashes. The only context attached is your device model, system version, approximate region, and an app identifier that distinguishes devices without pointing to you.
We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), do not track you across apps, and do not run ad attribution. This processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy; removing the App stops your device from sending anything further.
Website analytics
This policy also covers our website, catdays.app. To understand where our traffic comes from and to improve the site, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on the website. GA4 uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data — such as pages viewed, download-button clicks, approximate region, and device and browser type — that is not used to personally identify you. This processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, and you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. This is separate from the in-app analytics described above: opting out on the website does not affect the App, and vice versa.
Data storage and security
Your data lives on your device and in your personal iCloud. You can delete a countdown inside the App at any time, or remove the App to delete local data; data in iCloud can be managed in your system settings.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your rights
Because we do not collect information that personally identifies you, you have full control over your content — deleting it removes it. Usage analytics and crash diagnostics contain none of your personal content, and removing the App stops them from being sent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
